3

The Boy is still an only child.

He says 'please' and 'thank you' occassionaly pees in the potty.

He likes cuddles and getting dirty.

He has two friends at school whom he knows by name but still claims that either Cat or Hubs or myself are his best friends.

He's at school now and took vanilla cupcakes and monkey napkins to share with his school buddies. Tonight we'll have Japanese food at a Teppan place then come home for cake, which he picked out, and presents.

I love this day. It's the day my life changed forever and, thankfully, it looks like The Little Boy will be holding off on making an appearance so this can remain The Boy's day.

Happy birthday, my love.

The Old and The New

I spent Bastille Day, 1996 in Paris. Earlier that summer I saw the Bertolucci film 'Stealing Beauty' in Paris, at a little theater on the Champs Elysee to be precise.

It is now Bastille Day, 2012 and I am home alone watching 'Stealing Beauty' while my boys are out at the park.

I am almost 37 weeks pegnant and The Boy is almost 3 years old.
